Building Kidz of Sunnyvale
Building Kidz of Sunnyvale is an early education program specializing in Performing Arts, with a spacious outdoor play area. The program integrates music, dance, and theater. The school also offers language enrichment in Mandarin, Spanish, and Hindi, along with fresh meals prepared daily. They serve children ages 2 to 6.
PELC (Presbyterian Early Learning Center)
PELC is a play-based preschool that believes in nourishing a child’s physical, social, intellectual, and emotional growth. They serve families with children 5 months of age through 6 years old. They have full-time and part-time programs plus TK.
St. Timothy’s Preschool
St. Timothy’s is a small, diverse, community-based preschool. Although they are housed on a church campus, this is a non-religious program. They are a play-based emergent curriculum program that encourages personal autonomy and outside-the-box exploration. Their mixed-age classroom supports peer learning and organic mentoring, helping build children’s social skills, empathy, and confidence. Children are invited to choose what they will explore in either the indoor or outdoor classroom. Their daily activities are based on the children’s interests and developmental needs. They accept children starting at age 2 years, 9 months up to 5 years.

Appleseed Montessori is a Montessori-inspired hands-on learning school. It has a diverse curriculum including sensorial, language, math, practical life, science, geography, music movement, and arts & crafts. Special events throughout the year (field trips, culture events, a harvest parade, holiday celebrations, on-site special activities, family gathering parties and more.) Appleseed serves kids from 18 months old to 6 years old. Bilingual program option (Mandarin/English) for ages 2-and-a-half to 6.
Country Day Little School
Country Day Little School is a play-based school in Palo Alto. Kids’ learning takes place through play, activity, and imitation, rather than through the introduction of academic subjects. Their playthings are made of natural materials and are simple enough that the child’s imagination is awakened by using them in many different ways. The children are encouraged to be kind to one another. Cooperation and sharing are encouraged over competition. The atmosphere Country Day Little School strives for is supportive, warm, non-threatening, and non-competitive, yet with sufficient structure to give children the security and boundaries they need and want at this age.
